History
Emineo was founded in 2007 by a team of eight engineering professionals who had been working together for 20 years delivering projects in the cane sugar and related industries on the African continent.
The company has since attracted many young and talented engineers and technicians, providing a strong engineering and project realisation capability, and has built up a comprehensive list of references and achievements.

He started his career in 1991 as site engineer in Mauritius, after which he rapidly took the role of workshop Manager for the same employer for about 7 years, supervising the fabrication of small and large process equipment, structures and pipes for the agro-industry. He then enlarged his responsibilities, managing both fabrication and construction activities for a few years. His broad knowledge base has ultimately led him to take a Project Management role and he has since managed multiple industrial projects in Mauritius and across Africa. He has developed expertise in contracts management and is proficient with international contract models such as FIDIC. He is an Executive Director of Emineo.

He started his career in 1994 in Mauritius as design engineer for a local manufacturing company, and has since acquired extensive experience in Design and Process Engineering of Sugar plants. He has led the design team on numerous expansions and Greenfield projects, with strong ‘on-site’ personal involvement. From entire factories surveys at the project conceptual stage, to providing technical solutions during the construction and commissioning stages, he has developed a practical and ‘hands-on’ approach to plant design. He has also been instrumental in developing and fine-tuning Emineo’s proprietary equipment such as our Whole Stick Shredder. He is an Executive Director of Emineo.

He has occupied various positions in the early days of his career, from site supervisor, to field engineer and project administrator. He started his management experience by leading a large workshop for the fabrication of cane preparation and sugar processing equipment. He has since spent most of his time in construction management roles, having worked in 7 African countries, where he has led large construction teams. He has successfully managed the construction of sugar factories, refineries, distilleries and bagasse/coal fired power stations. He has extensive experience in the erection and commissioning of large process equipment, structures, conveyors and process piping.

He has above 20 years of experience in the engineering and consulting sector, with 15 years in Procurement and logistics management roles specifically. Over the years he has develop an extensive contact list of suppliers, manufacturers and freight companies worldwide, with a strategic focus towards India, China, South East Asia and South Africa. He has led the procurement and logistics effort on a number of major projects across the African continent, and delivered materials and equipment on time to difficult sites.

He started his career in 1996 as site engineer in Mauritius. In 1997, he joined a local engineering & manufacturing company as design engineer and acquired a vast experience in design and manufacture of sugar plant equipment, storage tanks and supporting structures. He is fully conversant with all aspects of engineering calculations and generation of plant layouts, P&ID’s, isometrics as well as workshop drawings required for project implementation. With the design team, he has carried out surveys on many sites both in Mauritius and in African countries in order to engineer technical solutions for factory expansion projects or green field projects. He currently holds the position of Engineering Manager.

He has started his career in 1994 as trainee engineer in an engineering company where he has had experience in mechanical drafting, design, site engineering, project administration and site administration before fulfilling the role costing and proposal engineer. Vikash has extensive experience in both manufacturing and site work management. Vikash joined Emineo in 2007 and has held positions of construction manager on several projects before taking the role of proposals engineer and later Proposals Manager.

He started his career in 1996 in Mauritius as a sugar engineer for a local sugar factory, after which he held the position of Deputy Manager of a thermal power plant in Mauritius for about 4 years. His experience in sugar, engineering and management has led him to various project management and construction management roles in the sugar industry. Michael joined Emineo in 2009. He has since participated in numerous industrial projects in Mauritius and across the African continent.
