Emineo was founded in 2007 by a team of eight engineering professionals who had been working together for 20 years delivering projects in the cane sugar and related industries on the African continent.
The company has since attracted many young and talented engineers and technicians, providing a strong engineering and project realisation capability, and has built up a comprehensive list of references and achievements.

Arnaud DE SPEVILLE
Arnaud is a Mechanical Engineer with over 30 years of experience in delivering engineering projects in the Sugar Processing and Energy industry.
He has led a number of successful projects in Africa and Mauritius over the last 20 years, while occupying executive roles. Over his career he has built strong relationships with key Mauritian and International clients and has been instrumental in setting up strategic partnerships in alignment with the organisation’s long term objectives. He currently holds the position of Executive Director.
Robert Edgar NOËL
Robert holds an MSc in Materials Engineering and an MBA. He started his career in 1981 at the nuclear power station of Koeberg in Cape Town as a test engineer.
He then returned to the University of Cape Town to take the role of senior lecturer and research officer for close to five years. Since his return to Mauritius, he has occupied executive positions in the engineering consulting environment. He is a registered Chartered Engineer (UK, 1989) and currently an active member on the board of multiple companies. He currently holds the position of Executive Director.
Imbert is a Mechanical Engineer with a degree from the university of Georg-Simon-Ohm in Nuremberg, West Germany.
He has worked for more than 25 years in the engineering industry, with a diversified experience base including project management, equipment fabrication, mechanical erection and workshop management. His technical knowledge spans from sugar processing equipment to materials handling, and petroleum products storage and handling. He has managed multiple large expansion and Greenfield projects over his career, both in Mauritius and over the African continent. He currently holds the position of Manager – Projects.

He started his career in 1991 as site engineer in Mauritius, after which he rapidly took the role of workshop Manager for the same employer for about 7 years, supervising the fabrication of small and large process equipment, structures and pipes for the agro-industry. He then enlarged his responsibilities, managing both fabrication and construction activities for a few years. His broad knowledge base has ultimately led him to take a Project Management role and he has since managed multiple industrial projects in Mauritius and across Africa. He has developed expertise in contracts management and is proficient with international contract models such as FIDIC. He currently holds the position of Manager – Projects.
Gilbert is a Mechanical Engineer with above 35 years of experience in the engineering consulting field, including technical drafting, design management and cost estimating.
He has occupied management roles for the past 25 years and has been critical in securing major contracts in Mauritius, the Indian Ocean and in Africa. He has built long term relationships with key clients, and also with strategic suppliers and business partners. He has a wealth of experience in estimating projects capital costs and carrying out project evaluations, from small construction contracts to large turnkey expansions and Greenfield projects. He currently holds the position of Proposals Manager.

He started his career in 1994 in Mauritius as design engineer for a local manufacturing company, and has since acquired extensive experience in Design and Process Engineering of Sugar plants. He has led the design team on numerous expansions and Greenfield projects, with strong ‘on-site’ personal involvement. From entire factories surveys at the project conceptual stage, to providing technical solutions during the construction and commissioning stages, he has developed a practical and ‘hands-on’ approach to plant design. He has also been instrumental in developing and fine-tuning Emineo’s proprietary equipment such as our Whole Stick Shredder. He currently holds the position of Engineering Manager.
Manufacturing & Construction Manager
Jeega is a Mechanical Engineering technician with above 25 years of experience in manufacturing and construction.
He has occupied various positions in the early days of his career, from site supervisor, to field engineer and project administrator. He started his management experience by leading a large workshop for the fabrication of cane preparation and sugar processing equipment. He has since spent most of his time in construction management roles, having worked in 7 African countries, where he has led large construction teams. He has successfully managed the construction of sugar factories, refineries, distilleries and bagasse/coal fired power stations. He has extensive experience in the erection and commissioning of large process equipment, structures, conveyors and process piping. Jeega currently holds the position of Manufacturing and Construction Manager.

He has above 20 years of experience in the engineering and consulting sector, with 15 years in Procurement and logistics management roles specifically. Over the years he has develop an extensive contact list of suppliers, manufacturers and freight companies worldwide, with a strategic focus towards India, China, South East Asia and South Africa. He has led the procurement and logistics effort on a number of major projects across the African continent, and delivered materials and equipment on time to difficult sites. He currently holds the position of Procurement and Logistics Manager

He is a confirmed site manager, and an expert in successfully delivering brownfield projects. He has led large construction teams with more than 300 workers under the Emineo payroll, and has proven in multiple occasions his ability of working around complex issues and schedule pressures to deliver the project and meet the client’s expectations. He has led the erection of two sugar refineries in Mauritius, and various construction sites in Africa. He is an expert in manipulating and erecting equipment and structures within a production environment, and has supervised countless rigging and heavy lift exercises. He currently holds the position of Site Manager.
